Its the way the internet was meant to be used, less waiting more surfing.

No doubt. My favorite place to use the web is at work. Nothing available to the public will even touch what we have here. Loading most web pages is almost as if it was stored in memory.

Yeah that fiber Optics stuff is a really amazing piece of technology. To bad they don't have it in ontario  . How much does that cost you anyway?

Yeah I'm leasing the modem for $ I already have to buy a router and who knows what else to run this to my other computers. Any ideas ghuys. I have two other puters to link up. Do I need more then the 10/100 cards and a 4/8 port router to connect them? I have the cable running up the driveway into the garage where my office is now till I can lay line. i have aputer in the house to link up and another puter or two out hwere for my employees.

Go from the Modem to the Router, as long as it is ethernet, and then from the router to the 10/100 cards in the computers.

I just did 2119 kb/s with my Comcast modem, I think that was at work, right wolf?

Yup, that's at work. Home is usually between 300 and 700 kps depending on how heavily we are all hitting the network, and weather conditions. Sattelite is a very picky way to go for broadband. Unfortunately, it's the only option for us rural people at current.

I pay 30 bucks a month for the fiber with 5 email accounts. Today my bandwith on that toast.net was around 5000k.

I'd check into the price there Steve. Or I'd switch to DSL. There isn't much of a difference with DSL.
