I know that those of you that have come to the previous cook-outs are used to having them at the lake. This year is going to be a bit different.

Donna and I have decided to move off the lake in favor of smaller accomodations and lower taxes. Well, the place we bought isn't really much smaller, but the taxes are less and it has TWO POLE BARNS!! :thumbsup: :thumbsup: One for storage and one for the sled shop. All my tools will be in one place at last!

The date is going to be October 14th which is the same weekend as the Hastings 500 Grass Drags and MSA Snow Show at the Barry County Fairgrounds. I was hoping that many that went to the show would be able to stop over for a burger and bull session afterwards. There is plenty of room to pitch a tent or park an RV or sleep on the floor or cot if you like.

The place is in Gobles, Mi on M-40 Highway 2 miles north of town on the right side of the road across from the horse statue. It's very easy to find. If you are going to make it, I'll get you better directions as needed.

I sure hope that all of you can make it!!

We are still on the lake for now. I'm doing quite a bit of remodeling at the farmhouse before we move in since the lakehouse isn't yet sold. I have the bathroom gutted right now. The bedroom and building a second bath are next. Opening day of Elk season is a very good excuse. Good luck! Your wife is more than welcome to stop by. Okay everyone, it's almost time and I'm going to attemt to make a list of what you all can bring. Please post what you want to bring. Some things can obviously be doubled up. Feel free to add other items to the list as well.

I'm planning on grilling sometime around 4pm - 5pm. Is that okay for the Hastings crowd?

We're going to line up the sleds next to the highway along with a sign, so if you want to show yours off...

The shop will be less than set up, but my tools will be available if needed and there will be room.
