I was at my dealer's open house today and saw a sled that even Machzzzz1 would approve of. It was a 1500cc triple in a ZX chassis. 300 HP, no joke! You can even ask mxz7 he was there too. Finally got too meet that horsecollar, he's a real cool guy!

i'd say the story sounds dubious, and one thing for sure is not convincing. i think that i should ask for the rest of the gang to comment on where the story went wrong. LOL :doh: :cussing:

Darnit,I wish I had my digicam with me. That thing was all engine.Maybe it will be there for a few more days and I can get pic of it. zzzz1 would have approved.

Mxz7, do you remember the name of the company that put that monster together? I know the guy's name was Russ. The initials on the sled were RLC or RCL, I don't know, I can't quite remember. I'll call Rob's and see if that guy has a website and try to get a pic posted up.

Russ lives about 10 miles from me. I don't know him personally but have run into him many times at the radar runs. The guys in the Ski-Doo r&d department probably have him on speed dial. If I'm not mistaken,he's the man behind the 617 from the 91&92 Machs. I do know he doesn't have any use for dynos. A guy I rode with a few years back had a 95 Mach Russ built. He put it on a Land & Sea dyno after the work was done and Russ wasn't too happy with him. Russ asked him why he didn't just put the skis against a wall and hit the throttle. He's built some very fast sleds. He's done many a Mach z and 670. He also builds custom competition chainsaw motors. Nobody can touch him in that department.

Russ is also the one who is selling a lot of exhaust restricters for the 800's
to use with the stock pipe. As long as you don't have a restrictive aftermarket
can. Supposed to be a good bang for the buck.
