Has anyone tried to get and used Total Seal piston rings, to raise compression like Nascar and other circle trackers. They do make rings for other applications. I think it would work on top groove in piston. But you need oil coming up from bottom ring, so a standard should be used there.

Those type of rings will not work on a two cycle engine without a way of keeping the rings from rototing on the piston. The rings need a pin in the piston to locate them so they will not get snagged on one of the ports.

I tried total seal rings last year. They were pined in place. The results are: 2 broken p[istons, 2 scratced cylinders in 35 miles!!! DO NOT USE THEM!!!

GLH did you mod the piston with a double pin in the grooe, or were the rings modified to work with one pin?
