I just bought a '03 mxz sport 600 HO the sled looks cool except for the way the rear tail flap is attached to the sled and the weird looking swing arm type things attached to the rear idler wheels, can i remove those arms?? any suggestions

Sure can, but not just the arms, the whole tail. .... it's called a "beaver tail delete" try searching here and on dootalk, you'll find tons of info and opinions.

I've done a straight delete and a delete/stretch. Not a problem with the 600's.

Check ebay. I've seen a couple different kits. One simply eliminates the arms and pushes the flap up. You then attach a snow flap to that. The other is a complete beaver tail delete kit that looks very good and the basic kit is around $275 or you can get one with all the OEM components for around $360.

Mine needed some extra cutting/bending as it was cut for short rear cooler.
I did the BM cooler update to it too,no heat probs with skinny snow conditions.
looks awesome too.
