Gardening, drag racing, photography and homebrewing. Homebrewing is my main passion and lasts all year.

I mountain bike mainly and road bike to keep up with my friends. Yes, I pedal a bicycle for fun.

I am not much for doing what everybody else does such as fishing, golfing, etc. The way Ilook at it when I am 67 years old and retired I will be better suited for these types of hobbies. Are there any other moutain bikers on this board?

The attached picture is Nuget at Milaca City Trails.

I used to go riding in the hills. Unfortunately, I've gotten lazy and out of shape. The hot summers here don't help one bit in getting outside. It would be another great activity to get back into once I do find my way outta here.

It's got a 350 now but was originally a 454 big block car,got to get a nother one o them.
Has 4-barrel headers, shift kit and some other goodies,I'm getting it mostly running right, gets second gear rubber now not bad for a automatic with a homeade posi rear(welded spider gears) and big tires

Mine has a 455-4 barrel. Pretty much stock and original. The smog pump was removed, and I advanced the timing from 4 to 12 degrees. That woke her up. Everything works, including the climate control and the clock! Rides nice, and fun to drive. A two and a half ton head turner.

Well, I would call this thing a summer hobby if I could stand to be outside - but what I bought a couple of months ago to restore. I have a second benz awaiting me to put it on the road as well.

Car:

1959 Mercedes 190Db

Engine: 1.9L inline four cylinder DIESEL
Trans: four speed manual - column shift
0-60: sometime this week :D

I never said I liked "norma" collector cars. :hallo1:

I'm planning on getting started with overhauling the engine next weekend. It only blew an entire quart of oil in something like 50 miles the last time I drove it. :(

partying is concidered a hobby but...................Ahhhh close enough.

zog, if you really want to make that riv fly, call kenne-bell performance.I had a 67 gs with,a 400,350,430,455.I recommend them for they are buick specialists.another place I bought some great buick parts was poston enterprises, they are just k-b copycats though.I had the gs running 11.70 on 70 series street radials through the exhaust, with a 3.42 gears, and yes the stock quadra-jet carb,I ran a thermoquad for awhile but did not ever get the results I wanted so back to the rochester.I always ran the cast iron buick intakes as well.those 455 can be made to build some big torque numbers.and was the best of them all, IMHO.I will say this as well every claim jim bell told me,about his products, was backed up when the engine was done.the 11.70 passes were made with a lil' help from NOS,the car ran 12.50's with out the juice.

Thanx Zog!! I don't think we'll ever be racing for pink slips though! :D

I cannot think of any words that accurately describes driving that car.

For now, I'm going to get some small rust areas fixed, fresh paint and upholstery work. After that is done, then work on performance. It already accelerates pretty good, and runs out of speedometer fairly quickly. I'll take the gps out next time I do a speed run. I'll definately contact kenne-bell when the time comes. Thanks!

haha,It's an '80 and THEY FIXED THAT!!!! Ford put a piece of plastic between the gas tank and the rear end. Not that it matters I have a 16gal fuel cell in the back and a 8.8 rear end out of a Granada w/ 2.47 gears :( I ran out of money for new gears(all in the motor) :D
