I notice a lot of pics of riders in my favorite mag where the rider has a sno-x helmet with no breath box or baclava on  bRRRRR

I tried it one day last season when we where boondocking real hard and the temps where getting real close to freezing. As hot as I was my face was totally frozen withing ten minutes tops and we where still playin hard. IMOP, its just not possible unless your running in the mid 40's or higher. :slick:

I ride quite often without one... I can't stand a soaking wet rag on my face. When I am forced to wear a facemask, I will bring like 4 of them along and change them through out the day.

BTW...I get frostbite every year on my face. I think last season was the first time in 10 years that I haven't gotten it real bad.

I tried it one day last winter when it was 0 and got frostbite on my face.
From now on I wont ride without a breathbox or goggles with some kinda nose/face covering.

I wear a face mask, but I wear it just above my chin. If I wear it covering my whole face, my glasses get fogged up and it's hard for me to see. So I'd rather have frost bite and be safe than warm and blind.

Before I got the Bombardier breath evacuate helmet I alway's rode with my facemask up. I too got frostbite :bash: I love the Bombardier helmet...I had to modify it to my standard though. :lmao:

The way some of you are talking about frost bite like it's no big deal makes me wonder if you've ever actually had it. As far as I'm concerned, if you had frostbite once you wouldn't be riding without a mask ever again.
As for fogging, that's easy to avoid, and I've always found that the proper mask will help avoid it rather than cause it.

Keep in mind that the '07 sled pic's were taken late last spring out west in the mountains.
