well i put a mach 1 engine in my touring frame last year but soon it died on me..its the older engine with a rotary vavle...but the rotary valve wont turn, so im thinking the gear is gone or somthing in that area

if it is just a gear do i need to take apart the crank or can i replace the gear without sending the cengine to a shop..
