i dont beleive there are....i have also looked all over the yamaha website and turned up nothing...i have tried calling(didnt work) i also took a hour out of my time to write a letter to yamaha ( a very polite and tasteful letter) that i sent out a month ago and have not herd any thing back. i mean i took the time to write it they should take the time to respond after i spent $12,000.00 us. of my hard earned money on one of their snowmobiles!

thanks for the suggestions.

I have not heard anything re: hyfax melting. There is an upgrade availabe for the handle bars. This is to upgrade 06 handle bars to 07 bars (not a recall). The 07 bars are heated through the 'J' hooks while the 06's are heated in the bars only.

For $30 you get the entire bar assembly (you have to pay installation).

im srry but thats BS!!!!! :cussing: they made a product that is no good and needs to be fixed on their dime...i dished out enough for the sled $12,000 us...thats a lot for a snowmobile! after that type of money the least they can do is cover the $60 upgrade

Just telling you what my dealer told me. I have not ridden mine yet so don't know if the bars are nfg or not. They are back ordered anyways....it's only $30 bucks cdn. I'll spend $150 on fuel to sled for a day. It's not worth my time to sweat over thirty bucks.

i know..im not mad at you or anything but its the fact of the matter that they sold me a faulty product and they should fix it thats all. 30 bucks is nothing im not to worried about it but its just the point of the matter

well thanks for the info i appreciate it

perhaps your hyfax are melting from going 125 mph.

seriously though I doubt you will see a recall and if the fix is only $40 for the handlebars consider yourself lucky if that is the only non recall item. Think fusion and doo rings non recall items

Check your 2 rear inner idler wheels cause they seem to delaminate rather fast on the Apex. Yamaha knows of this and so do the dealers and the dealers are replaceing them at no charge. The catch is that if they replace them with OEM wheels then they do the same thing.

Here's what I did.

Well I would guess that your dealer is treating you right on the handlebar upgrade. My dealer told me that it would be $30.00 and they have to do the install.

Your handlebars weren't a recall because there wasn't actually anything faulty with what was there. simply from suggestion from mountain riders they upgraded the heaters to heat the hooks also for the following year. They are simply offering an upgrade for customers at an excellent price to incorporate a new idea.
