Hey there guys I have just picked up a Genesis big bore kit for my Yamaha and was wondering what else you guys would consider doing to make this a really fast sled. I hear that uni-pot has some really wicked ports on it. I can't wait to slap it together and see what it will do. Im going to shave my heads down alittle but don't know how much for sure yet. Let me know what you guys are thinking and will talk to you later.

I used to Have a Yamaha Exciter, It's good machine and built to last. Sounds like a good idea, the Exciter's could use those extra horses. I donno about yours, but mine only went like 70, so that extra power would be great. The Exciter is a 440 cc I think, I cant really remember becuase it's been so long.

ex's arent ment to be played with. they dont have case reed induction. I had a bone stock 600 vmax and kill a pimped out exciter 12 times. If that kit makes it reed induction then you may have something.

Oh yah the big bore kits comes with reeds. A new set of psi pipes and 40mm carbs. The thing is the pistons are not available through psi anymore. But rumor has it that there the same as a 650 yamaha water craft. So Im going to get some and see if they match up. By the way Bone Daddy I don't mean to pick at you but my exciter pulls on my vmax 600. The exciter is clutched and piped and the vmax is stock. I can't wait to see what this kit is going to do but it should be fun. Im thinking of taken all the brackets off and oil stuff and really lightening it up. I also want to put a 1.5" track on it for grass drags. But to do that I will have to change the chain case and the front drive. Oh well will see what it does first then decide if I should go that route.

sounds like you have a wicked set up on there. a note added when shaving so much off your head, depending on compression, youd have to run race gas. if your compressions over 150psi your gunna have to run race gas. if its under 150psi you'd be fine on pump gas. thats the way it is with quads so i dont see why it would be anything different with sleds.
