1st Saturday of every month, there is an auction in Bronson Michigan that just might be worth your drive. LOTS of sleds there that you can really look over before bidding on. I have heard horror stories about buying there, but I have bought 3 sleds there with NO problems at all. You simply have to look them over and know its a buyer beware world. In all honesty, its that way when you buy a used sled ANYWHERE though. Good luck

used fast reliable(100+mph) and good on gas

97-99 MXZ 670 the 99 being the fastest due to the HO under the hood :)

All the rest of triple have there issues IMO from Doos triple cranks to Cats counterbalance bearings to Yamahas lack of travel

The Yami SRX 700 Tripple-tripple was supposed to be the fastest sled out of the box in the 700 class.

Bingo......You buy a V-Max 4 and you will not beleive what you have!!!! If all you want is POWER....This is your winner....You should be able to pick one up for under $3000....Worth every penny! Sold mine last year and regret it everyday !!!

1995 - 97 were 800's

97 had the extra long travel rear suspension and hydraulic brake

HP #'s

1992- 130hp
1992-94 140hp
1995-97 150hp

I'd imagine any of the big hitters would do the job. Between the Mach Z, T-Cat, Vmax4 and SRX700 I'd probably go for the SRX700 due to it's lighter weight and on any given Sunday it "should" be able to hang with all the others from 0 to 100mph at least.

But thats just my opinion, others will vary.

hmmm....

buy something big from the late 90's then....Self explanatory I thought....

Or just buy a new sled that has no engine and let MXZWFO or IDOOSKI build you an engine.

Like you guys said, an 98 t-cat is your best one if your looking for power :blahblah:

#1 sled for power was the t-cat with the storm and mach z close behind

Wicked fast, cheap, from that era would have to go to the polaris Storm XCR 1000's. I've seen them for sale for less than $2000. I know they had lots of problems with them, probably why they are so cheap.

Other cheap ones that are fast are the 97 Mach Z, great motor in the F-2000 chassis. Old by most people's standards, but there weren't any major issues with them. You can usually find them for sale pretty cheap. I have friends ride my 97 Mach 1 and all they say is "damn that's fast", the Z is about 15 more HP than my Mach 1...

T-Cats are also one to consider. Solid engines, solid chassis, never really heard much negative about them. V-Max 4's are also around on the cheap. A guy had one with a Turbo for sale for $3000 last year.
