Besides polishing your sled, how are you passing the time before the snow falls?

Bogie is keeping himself occupied by building a ramp to jump Vegreville's giant Easter Egg with his combine. Further updates as events warrant.

I really feel for you wolfman. Sitting here in ND its starting to cool off pretty good and there was a flurry of snow on sunday. I know that I only got about a month left to wait before I can get the sled out and its driving me nuts. You don't even really have that to look forward to you have to wait tell your trip. I don't think I could do it.

I am going to my house in Maine, to get it ready for the season......just some minor repairs on my garage, and fix a few wind damaged shingles and to put in my new thermostat that I can call on the phone and warm the house up before I get there! Technology is sweet! :D

Partridge hunting, cutting some firewood this weekend & posting some No Trespassing signs on the parents property to keep us from shooting "noises" in the bushes during the deer hunt :D There is Crown Land on 2 sides of their property. There's usually 3 gangs of hunters that set up camp to the east of us. We have to let them know where their hunting stops & ours starts.

I'm starting another not so fun batch of projects. Catching up on car maintenance. I got the tractor fixed finally, now I can mow the yard again. Yesterday was an oil change for the VUE, as well as rotating tires ( I HATE that project!!). Then into town to get a safety inspection on the truck, and buy the materials so I can crate the engine I was supposed to crate the other day next week. Then will come the 90K service for the truck - wheel bearing inspection & repack/replacement, coolant change, oil change (3 gallons worth), another tire rotation (GROAN), brake check, and on and on and on...... I figure the truck alone will take me two days to go over it with a fine toothed comb. :(

gettin the sled out this weekend to attempt some clutch work. I have been busy with my car, trying to make it go faster before the tracks close. I have went from a 15.02@91mph 1/4 time at the beginning of the year to a 14.134@100.24 just last week. Sleddin is in my blood though, I am getting pissed at all the people that are saying it is going to be a slow mild winter.

This summer I am renovating my house. We are removing the country kitchen, and replacing with two story with basement to match. I will take it from the vapor barrier on to finish so I will be busy :)

Are you putting the second story on the existing house also? Looks like you will have little time to play this summer. Renovating is fun karen especially likes it when my blood presure rises as I curse the guy who built the house, it seems that some people don't know what a level and a square is good luck don't get mad sit down have a beer and be creative.

Cory, I was up in your neck of the woods last Sunday, out for a daytrip up to Parry Sound.

Earlier this spring I sanded down my picnic table & refinished it w/ fiberglass resin. Not a easy job, but I shouldn't have to do it again  . I just finished building a second sled lift for my brother & father. Now I have to build a couple of hangers to get them off the floor in my garage & their's.

I just got back from 4 hours on the 200X. LadyK & Permafrost: It was like the 401 down by Little Jack's Lake. A bunch of ATVers there & on the power line road south of the gravel pits.
