Is anybody out there running Blue Marble Oil???

My buddy and I have been running it for a few years now. Me in my 00 ZRT600 and then in my 06 F8. The F8 ended up seizing twice last year.
My buddy broke in his new 06 Mach Zx with the Bombardier synthetic and then ran the Blue Marble the rest of the season without any problems.

The recent SnowTech magazine has an article that they tested a bunch of oils, including Blue Marble. They said it was one of the cleanest burning oil around, leaving no residue in the engine, but had a crankshaft failure with their Switchback 800 and an engine seizure with their Switchback 900.

My dealer also said I'm the only one that brought back an F8 with engine seizure and suspects the oil. He suggested that I should run the Arctic Cat low odour synthetic in my coming F1000.

Has anybody who's running Blue Marble experience engine failure like myself (and SnoTech)? What are your thoughts?

after 3 seasons of using brp mineral oil i cleaned my raves for the first time on sunday. it was a waste of time the rave valves were perfectly clean. i wiped what little black there was off with a rag and had them back together in 15 minutes.

I had the same results at Paul, but I have been running amsoil interceptor. I do pull and look mine over and check the adjustment every year, but each time, its simply wipe them off and put them back in.
As labudda mentioned, run a search in here on blue marble,,, threads with all your answers can be found,,, this subject comes up a couple of times a year.

I ran it all last year and was very dissapointed in it.
It is totally impossible to do any kind of plug reading as it coats the whole plug in a shiney wet like substance yet it is not wet, after a few hundred miles it builds up and blocks the electrode.
At seasons end I pulled the raves and they almost didn't come out they were so dirty, worst I have ever had with any oil.
My new Wiseco pistons were also starting to sieze but pretty sure it was the usual Wiseco not making them to specs for nicksal cylinders thing.

I have used Blue Marble for the last 2 seasons. Pick it up at the Toronto Sled show for cheap!.....It does run and burn clean. My plugs and Piston tops look like new after a 2000 km. ride last season in Quebec. No problems to report. Will run it again this season....Stuff makes for a great trail fire if ever required also!!.. :lookaround:

I was just reading on the SnoWest (http://snowest.com) forum a couple of days ago others were reporting seizing problems when using Blue Marble. YMMV, of course.
