that Phazer is one cool looking little sled. i told johnny/hosehead it's skinnier than a bicycle when we were looking at it.

What about the deals on accessories and such? We were thinking on heading down tomorrow for a look, but I'm curious about the stuff there, and if anything will actually be cheaper. I'm also looking for quad stuff. Is there much there like that?

Just got back from spending a day there.
I thought it was a great show. Lots of ATV stuff, mostly that 4 trax thing that replaces the wheels.
Loved to finally see and sit on the new Phazer. There are some good deals out there as well. Almost all places have save the tax, and the Yami place had 30% off it's old gear. There surely are deals to be had there. Royal was packed as usual.
The freestlye show was great as well.
The only thing I bought was my trail pass. I was set for everything else! I ALMOST bought a Fitch fuel drop in cell. It was going for $60, and it seemed great when the guy was talking about it, but it's one of those things that seems too good to be true.

All I can say is it rocked, Ski-doo leather gloves $69, snowgear jacket $40 (gift for farther-in-law) would have gotten one for myself but no 3XL. Snagged a new BV2S for $425 taxes in. The freestyle show rocked those guys are nuts. If you need a jacket and bibs you can get the ski-doo set up for around $400 to $500 now that’s a smoken deal. If you haven’t gone down yet and need some new gear head down tomorrow its worth it.

It was nice to see the new Cats as well... get all touchie feelie with them, seat and bars feel good. Still not 100% on the looks, but hey, I hate the 94 ZR's, till I rode it! Hold my judgement till I ride it. Oragne please!!
Oh yah, that Phazer, I think it would be fun to go out and beat the crap out of one on jumps and bumps, but I don't see one in my garage any time soon (Apex... oh yah, like that one!)

The show was a bit smaller than last year. Only 3 halls not 4, and no manufacturers again, only dealers with some of the new sleds.

DOO's looked good in person, I really liked the Blizzard colours, and also the RED Mach colours. Graphics look great.

I really liked adjustable seating on the new Cats, in the tallest position it would be excellent for someone with long legs on a tour. Standing won't be to great though as it is wide. Not sure how it will hold up under pressure.

Phazer looks pretty cool, but not for me.

Some really good deals on clothing if thats what you were looking for.

Didn't think it was as good as last year, but $15 entertainment for an afternoon, can't complain.

It was pretty much the same show as the last few years... I wish the manufacturers were there, but no such luck (thankfully the spring show is never too far away). I bought some DVDs and got my trail maps for most of Ontario.

Maybe they weeded out some of the "non-sledding" stuff. I missed you guys, but spoke w/ IndySKS, RevIAm, Fraz & Spikegary thru the day.

As per usual got all my maps & a new helmet from Royal (20 bucks off). I saw that the 'doo clothing clearnce places were busy as well.

While I worked the afternoon @ the Kawartha booth, had a few people that must've only ATV'd & didn't own a sled. They asked for ATV maps & appeared disappointed when we told them we didn't have any. Also, told them that as soon as the snow is on the ground the trails were closed to ATVs in our area.

Maybe for the 20th anniversary the OEMs wil be there (holding my breath) .

If this is true, I hope that the sledding stakeholders gets behind this one. What we don't need is the 2 show fiasco like last time.

I could care less about a ATV w/ 22" rims on it  :bash:

Freezie is right Kris.

The current show charges the OEM sled makers a huge amount for display space. I've heard rumours ranging from 5 to 10 times what they charge anyone else for their space. Hence, you don't see any of them them.

The new show will not be the SAME WEEKEND as the OSM show.

They will have all of the OEM Sled manufacturers there plus any OFSC Sponsors and Clubs / District displays.

Also any destination / accommodation businesses and of course the aftermarket suppliers.

They've had many complaints from many snowmobile related businesses that they can't afford to display there.

Can't help but wonder where the money goes?? Must be profitable for the organizers given the large volume of traffic and price per head???????

Hopefully the organizers of this "snowmobiling" show get the ball rolling early so the districts & tourism operators can make the decision as to which show they will support. I'll be @ the show that will have the tourism groups & districts.

Was good to meet you-didn't realize the OFSC guy in actuality is IndySKS. I enjoyed the show, spent some money and ate some expensive mediocre pizza. Met up with my friends from OTC and we had a nice time, went out to dinner with them and went to Zeke's with Fraz and had a nice little party.

Now I see in the '07 TOP Trail Guide (the folding "road map" everyone gets in the magazine) that the OFSC will be hosting The Canadian Snowmobile & Trail Show next fall in the T.O. area. The advert says to watch the OFSC's website this season for more news. And yes the OEMs will be there & all proceeds go back to the trails.

I wonder if Royal will be there or not?

The Phazer is a good idea for a sled. Good entry level, light, fuel efficent and underpowered for beginngers sake :lmao: But, I have left stuff floating in the toilet that looked better than that thing.

I thought the show was a bit small again. Hasn't been the same since the problems of a couple years ago.

I did get a smokin deal on a Doo Gortex jacket shell for 80 bucks. I also broke down and finally got a Trail-Pro Tech Vest. Hope it's not too hot.

I've seen this posted on a couple of other websites & the comments tend to be leaning towards the OFSC show. I think the Kehoes have gotten away from the sledding aspect of the show, filled it up w/ a lot of crap (5 buck Jigglers @ Crappy Tire being sold for 10).

Cal-Jet had some left over '06 sleds there too for you to drool on.

Hopefully all the districts get represented there & the new show is a success. Plus it'll all be under 1 roof. What's not to like about that?

I hope that you have room for a liner in your backpack.
You'll only need it when the temps drop to extremes.
The TekVest will definitely keep you warm, just keep all of your vents open.

Thanks for posting the update Kris.

The Toronto Sled Show wasn't bad, same old stuff. Everyone seems to make a bee-line for that stinking Royal booth. Those Royal bux aren't even that good a deal.
Freestyle was great as always.
Went on the Saturday, seemed like less people attending than the last few years.
Also, interesting to notice they used one less hall.

In the OSM that came in the mail this week, there was 2 ads for next years show @ the Int'l Center. A little early to be promoting it? Usually they had a mention of it in the final issue of the season. Maybe they're worried about the OFSC's show?
