Hi!! newbie here, I have an 04 xcsp 600 Polaris. I plan on doing some clutching for this season and have an Idea for a set up , what do you think????
keep stock gearing = 23/39
primary = 10/58 blue/white{factory}changing to 10/60 almond blue spring
secondary team/perc = new stock red/blue spring
121x15x .91 track for now, 1" ot 1 1/4 later on
I mostly ride ditches and some trails. I`m looking for strong out of the hole and still pull good top end
Any info and advice would be great!!! BTW cool site!!!!!

you changed the rate of the primary spring higher, which means you will pull more rpm on top end. you did not increase shift speed, which i think is what you where after. you have to balance the ramps and the ramp angle along with the primary spring to get the shift you want. you just might have found it, and more power to you.

good on ya bud for trying this stuff out on your own!! it's how i learned a ton of stuff about clutching. here's my advice and take it to heart. save your time and money and buy a hotseat clutch kit. they started out doing only polaris, but now do arctic cat as well. very similar systems. anyways, i know you want to try it on your own and if you do, then try it. i'd have to wait til i could get back to the charts to recommend something for you. also, wait til you get your track on as well, it will make a difference. you should stud the track with at least 96 studs if you do. go with 1 3/8" studs for the 1.25 track. stud the center belt only. might need to go down a tooth to pull that track, but not likely. the biggest bang for your buck is a clutch kit. they put countless hours into tuning the systems that the factories dont have time to do. also i would recommend a silencer as well to allow the engine to breath more efficiently. the clutch kit wouldn't cost much more than you buying the polaris parts and putting them in yourself, or having someone do it for you. it's the best advice i can give. keep in mind that the countless hours i have into tuning clutches also comes with the access to a shop and all kinds of used parts that i can swap out and try different stuff. so it can get pretty spendy when you have to buy it all. good luck! -polaris doc

ran 8200 8300. also before that had a GP clutch kit , 10/62 weights 185/330 black GP spring
black secondary and the helix was a GP85
i ran stock gearing and a 1-3/8 track
