I was wondering what silencers people prefer for their sleds. I have a 2002 MXZ 700 and the stock silencer just don't do the sled justice. I want a little more sound to make it sound like a machine. But not so loud that it annoys everyone around. So if you guys could post some comments on different silencers out there for my sled and how they sound I would appreciate it.

You can't go wrong with a mbrp can, they sound pretty sweet.

Stock. 90% of them out there MAY gain 1-3hp on top, but will sacrifice bottom end performance.

"It's a suck, squeeze, bang, blow kind of thing" I like that saying...exactly how I teach my student pilots how the engine works. Relate it to something they are interested in and man they catch on real fast.
I wasn't puting the silencer on for all the performance increase. I just like a little rumble to a sled. Was looking at the "trail" mbrp but have not heard how much louder it is than the stock.
How loud is the HPS compared to the trail or race cans of MBRP?

SLP and the Crank Shop have done allot of development to make a deeper sounding silencer without hurting performance.
This is all opinion though, mine of course, but I just prefer stock.

I like the idea of the deeper sounding exhaust with keeping the perf about the same. Was looking at the SLP but can't seem to find one for the '02 MXZx 700. Does anyone have this on their sleds now or know which sleds silencer would fit mine?
Also...anyone know anything about the superlites? Sound specifically?

When I fired the SLeD up nice little quite rumble. But when you open the throttle
you better get back. Will see if I can dig up a video of someone who has one!
Can't wait to try mine out.MBRP always made my ears ring even at idle
just ask snofrog or JasonF they know!
Found the Vid... Hope this helps

I had a MBRP race can on my 01 MXZ 500 and it was loud but sounded cool. I am now running A Rumble Pack silencer on my 03 renegade 800(bought it at royal distributing) and it is way louder than the MBRP. If your not too keen on noise then dont buy the rumble pack. Most of my friends just shake there heads when i crack on it. I will be taking it of for any long trail rides. I dont feel the need to get arrested this year hahaha nor do i want to tick off any land owners. Just My 2 cents.

That is so incredibly bad for your hearing. snowmobiles, motorcycles, atvs, etc, are all pretty bad for your hearing *anyway*, but in my experience simply wearing a helmet seems to reduce the noise to safe levels.
