Anyone know the sag height for an 06 600HO? The dealer is telling me 4 inches - seems a bit much?
Also - is the old "turn it till its tight, back it off a quarter turn" formula still good on the newer motors for chain tension? Dealer told me for the newer sleds "turn it till its tight, tighten the jam nut". Is that risky?

Thats how mine is set up. which really suprised me (sag height) cuz I tip the scales at a mere 265!
Not sure on the chain tension though.
Its snowing here!!!

4" sag is about right, good spec to set at if you don't want to mess around changing stuff for different conditions. A little more or less (+-1") isn't going to hurt much though. The 4" spec. put's you into alignment with middle of the soft area in your PPS shock......
A little less works better in the stutter bumps, a little more works good for cushy ride on lakes and great conditions.
By "tight" do you mean finger tight? If so, I'd say OK. If there's a wrench involved, you'll need to back off a little for sure.

Yep I meant finger tight, not wrench tight... Thanks for the info on the sag. I think I'll go for 3 to 4"

finger tight on the tensioner without backing it off works pretty well. its hard to define finger tight though. you dont have to hurt your fingers to get the right tightness.
