I was loking around on E-Bay and saw an extra set of Idler Wheels for an Attak for riding in marginal conditions. If anyone has ever rode in New York (especially last year), marginal snow may be all we can get. Is it a good idea to put an extra set on, and if so, where on the rails and why?
I know there are 2 wheels midway on the rail right now on each side.
Thanks,
Gary

my guess is to prevent additional/ pre mature hyfax wear in the marginal snow conditions we get in newyork. thats just a guess though

Yes, this ad was for the Attak which only comes in a long track (136). I have heard of people wearing out their sliders quick and thought this might help.

Sent you a PM SpikeGary.
The new Yammys are becoming infamous for their slider wear. There are many reasons that will cause the premature slider wear, ie. weight, high lug tracks, etc., but I believe it comes down to the design of their suspensions.

You won't hurt anything putting the marginal snow kit on..It is a good idea, but isn't necessary..The extra wheel just help keep some of the friction off of the Hy fax....

no offense to your statement but when riding in marginal snow conditions, wouldnt you want to keep as much friction off your hyfax's as possible? i understand they are not completely nessecary, but wouldnt you want them for convienience?
