Hi all,
I am trying to find a replacement shock for the ski's on a 1987 excel lll, does anyone know of a aftermarket shock. Yamaha wants $40.00/ shock. I have found the rear shocks no problem. Can't seem to find the ski shocks.

Are you referring to the pogo style shock? Or are they the type that mounts on a leaf spring on the ski?

I'm assuming you have checked at online stores such as denniskirk? (www.denniskirk.com). I personally know a local store that would probably have them, but you might be better off getting the yamaha shocks for the hassle...

Last time I checked the ones in Dennis Kirk WILL NOT fit the 85-88 Enticer 340 and Excel III models. I have an 88 Excel 3 and I think only Yamaha makes a replacment Ski shock. A friend of mine who has an 85 Excel 3 tried one in Dennis Kirk and said he had to return them - they would not fit.
