It's floating around that Arctic Cat has a big announcement they will make next Wednesday. No info on what it is.

They definately have a hi-perf 4 stroke somewhere. But I'm worn out on speculating what the next big flash will be. But, I will try to get a hold of a very reliable source and see what he knows. :sleepy:

I have no idea what they are announcing next week but from a very reliable source it looks like a GSXR powered sled is coming our way late January. The word is look for it to be a major big blue basher.

I doubt they'd introduce something this late, they'd release it mid-season but not now. Winter is so close that most people already have their sleds that they are going to use and they won't go out and buy one.

I can see it now, ZR1100, I'll need that one for sure.

Now, lets see if anyone knows what sled they are going to put it in....

Hmmmm, The motor weighs approximately how much more than a comparable two stroke? How much lighter is the firecat versus a normal ZR????

I would bet it comes in the ZR chassis as a replacement for the T-Cat. It doesn't look do-able in the F sled chassis. Now the question is will it be the GSXR or the big B engine.

GSXR engine would be sooooooooooo cool. 1100 cc, hehe.

wouldn't they use the GSXR "1000"? 1100 old technology?

4 strokes sound nice... but its this weight thing that is going to take some getting used to

i hope its direct drive ,instead of a 4 stroke performance,direct drive combined with a f9(150-160hp)and 520-530 lbs wet would be a screamer

AC will announce a Turbine powered Snowmobile.

It burns everything. Runs the exhaust through the seat like the Yamaha RX-1. (talk about hot seat performance).

Engine weighs 100 lbs with 300 H.P. 180lbs of torque.

Sled weighs 300 lbs. It has a button on the dash that has an afterburner feature for those long grass drags or to defrast your running boards.

Late release testing may move button from dash to hand brake and give you back a light dimmer switch.

Comes with optional Asbestos riding gear for others around you.

I dont think an F5 EFI will be a big announcement... if they are holding out and making a release it will probably be another model

I have some sources through AC that are wispering rumors of both SV650 and TL1000 V-Twin motors in development and possibly destined for the F chassis Who knows if it will ever reach the marketplace, but my guess is 1-2 seasons away from launch.

I believe this is a definite, don't know when it is to be released, now or in January. F6 with approximately 125-128 HP. unknown if it will debut the long awaited gear reduction system tried on Hibberts Open Sled. According to one of the more successful AC grass dragger "They all ready have the engine, but the marketing people didn't want to release it yet."

See my other post page 2 for the other good rumor of SV650 and TL1000 twin motors being tested and possibly used in the F chassis. :devil:

In an earlier post, I stated about a rumor that testing was taking place with SV650 and TL1000. Some posted that they never heard of these motors before. These are hi-perf v-twins from Suzuki, currently in crotch rockets of the same name. Through some contacts I had heard that the marketing manager at AC has loose lips, he new evidently, and these are the only current power plants that would fit the new F chassis, so this combo is supposedly being tested. This is just what I heard, I can also check once at race school and I have a contact on TEAM OLAH. I am fairly confident that either in early release or in &#39;04 you&#39;ll see the F6 that I posted about.

I&#39;m going to stop down to my dealer here in Utica and talk to them, he still has my hat for my firecat that he owes me..... I&#39;ll pick his brain then... he he he......

My guess would be an RX-1 copy, maybe faster?

When I went to the Factory the other day to have lunch with Kirk Hibbert, we talked about a lot of things. He told me that they are actually looking into fitting a 350 Chevy Small Block into the F Chasis. They are currently doing some R & D on it and hopefully will have it available for a Christmas release.......................Ya, whatever, you can speculate all you want but you will still have to wait and see!&#33;!!&#33;!!!!

Well, here&#39;s what I heard from another website:
It&#39;s a 900 1M with a 159" track. All black sled with yellow to orange graphics. Orange springs and wheels. No EFI yet and still using the 2" track. Will post a pic as soon as I receive it. MSPR 9199.00.
Sounds cool, but if you don&#39;t ride out west, it&#39;s not much news.

I asked at the Cat booth at the Big East Snowmobile show in Syracuse, NY this weekend and the boys at the booth played stupid (actually pretty good at it) Thaey said that any late season release would be announced at he Pride Ride? in MIsometime in January.
