What would be the best engine mod be to get a little more out of this engine? From what I hear it isn't very modifiable but what can be done.

prolly pipes would be ur best bet youll get a pretty good hp gain...but it will cost a little $$...slp pipes run about $600..-INDY

I had an older one (xlt) and i put my money in clutching, worked really well.Also studded (144) If you were to spend the big bucks then pipes are the way to go, just be careful of over reving. The bottom crank bearings don't like that too much.

Yeah, I think I am gonna stay away from pipes on it. Everything I hear is bad and not much gains. Probably just do my extension mods and gearing/clutching and leave it for now. Need to upgrade to a newer sled anyways within two years. ???
