Hi folks I have a 1979 polaris apollo 340. And have cleaned the carbs put new needle and seats in new plugs fuel line and filter. The seals seem to be ok the chokes and carb adjustments are on. The thing starts real hard but once warmed runs ok but when shut down it starts to flood. It will start back warm but take a few minutes to get going. But overnite and any lenght of time the damn thing floods and is a bear to get going. Any thoughts on what might be the problem. Thanks for the time and happy sledding this season.

i would check the float height and check to see if the float has a hole in it. a good way to check if your needle and seats are good. is to turn the carb upside down, and blow into where the gas inlet is.

Thanks for the tips guys. I changed the fuel pump from a doner sled and it starts better now still not 100%. So I think thats my problem. This sled doesnt have the impulse line it just mounts to the crankcase. Ill just get a rebuild kit from dennis kirk and try it out. Thanks again and happy sledding "THINK SNOW"
