I use an Innovate LM1 to tune my cars , last winter I tried to use it on a sled but had too much electrical interference for it to work and ran out of time . I have some sheilded tubing to run the wires through and will try again this year.
I do a lot of tuning on cars and sleds for myself and others and the way this thing works in the cars is almost too good to be true . If I can make it work on the sleds and i know others have then I think it will be as good as a dyno for jetting.
It reads RPM and A/F through a run , has a pretty good storage capacity then you download into a computer for analyze the graphs. If you have a laptop you could do it right after a run and adjust accordingly.
The next step in tuning would be a logger that would give knock readings.

YOU ARE MUCH BETTER GOING WITH EGT GUAGES THAT LETS YOU KNOW HOW THE ENGINE IS RUNNING BETTER THAN ANYTHING. TO HOT NOT ENOUPH GAS, TO COLD TO MUCH GAS. I HAVE TUNED EVERY THING IVE OWNED THIS WAY FROM RC CARS TO MY 400 HORSE 1.8 LITER TURBO CAR THIS WORKS BEST FOR ME GOOD LUCK
