Hi,
I was wondering how you set up your ski alignment. Do you set a little toe in or out or perfectly straight. Also on the ski spindles do you set up to have a little positive caster or negitive. I am starting out fresh and would like to ddo it right the first time. I am riding a 1998 formula III 700.
Thanks,
JemmS

Don't quote me on this but I think they should have bit of toe out. I recal my dealer saying something about that.

The proper alignment is in your manual. It also gives you step by step instructions on how to do it.
If you want to do the proper setup the first time and then modify from there I would start with the book.

The manual would probably be a worth while investment.

I don't know how legal it is but I was able to find a CD on Ebay that had the complete manual in it.
If you state what sled you are trying to set up you might get a better response from people.

You can also download the manual at www.ski-doo.com for free.
Not sure if anything is in there about alignment.
My shop manual for a 99 FIII 700 says 16mm of toe out, and -2.5 degrees camber.

You want 1/16" toe out.
A lazer line level that you can get at Home Depot works super for a track straight edge.
And for camber you MUST get a magnetic angle finder and set camber at 0 degrees.
First do like all said and get a manual, it is much to difficult to explain the process.

It is a 1998 Formula III 700 CK3 Chassis
Should these measurements be taken at ride height or front end in the air?

Not sure what you mean. I do all my alignment measurements with the skis on the ground. But I use a ratchet strap on the front to take all the load off the front suspension, and also use a bungee cord between the two front skis to take all the slop out of the steering.
