I was looking at the online instructions for removing your reed cages here, and it looks like the carb boot and reed cage are one assembly. Mine defantly come out as two different assemblys? Is this part ripped and I didn't know it? The sled is a 01 mxz 600, When I remove the carb boot the cage housing is sitting the case and has to be pulled out by hand, it has been like this since I owned it and never noticed a performance issue?

On your 01 600 the boot and the reeds are separate.

I never remeber to take a camera to the shop with me!
