I bought this oil caddy because it was on sale when I was buying my studs last year and I don't know where it goes. I'm sure it mounts to the frame under the hood because the mounting bracket is at an angle, but I didnt see any holes in the frame that match. It also has two little rubber stoppers on the bottom that you can see in the first pic. Do I just put it where I want and drill holes? Anyone have this oil caddy? I dont know what brand it is.

Also, is it not recommended to carry an oil jug that has already been opened? With the seal being broken is it prone to opening? I would rather carry gas in this because I'm going to run out of gas before I run out of oil? Do you think it's too dangerous to carry gas under the hood?

That goes where the took kit goes (I think).

Gas under the hood is not a good idea.

I am not sure what brand you have but some will bolt up to the chain case!

Went out in the garage today excited to put on my oil caddy now that I found out where it goes........ but if you have electric start....... no oil caddy for you. The battery takes up the entire spot. I just unbolted the mounting bracket and it fits in the trunk just fine. I'm gonna use it to hold extra gas since it's not near the engine. It's a nice tight fit so it won't be bouncing around and now I won't have to worry so much about my thirsty sled leaving me stranded.

BTW sledhead, what do you use to clean your engine compartment. It's spotless!
