OK,my 80 invader running real rich.Chokes arn't hung,I kleened carbs,I dropped needle jets 1 click from stock position. I even gutted airbox.But,with airbox on it bogs,dosn't wiend out.7000 max,smokes real bad.If I take airbox off,it still seems a little rich,bogs a little but thats tipical,5000 on it flys.I don't wanna burn it up.Is there anything else I can try? It has duel mikuni's on it. Any advise would be appresiated.Thanx

if it has the same carbs as the 79's have, you should check or replace the o-rings in the bottom of the float bowl. If they leak, gas from the bowl goes directly into the main jets instead of being drawn in through the power jets. RPM"S will be irratic engine will surge around and it will run best at higher rpms.

I have the same problem as you do, it bogs really bad on bottom end and then goes like stink at around 5000 rpm can anybody help me with this problem

have these kaws had the lower ends checked for bad crank seals? can cause a really bad bog and they were really bad about cracking from being so huge. I would prefer to replace them with the newer seals that had become available for the kaws. problem with them(kawasaki) they might need seals every year.
