I've recently run across both a 2001 SRX700 and a 2001 SXR700. The SRX has
around 2700 miles and the SXR has just under 1700. Both are very clean and
appear to be very well maintained. The SRX is around $3200 and the SXR is
$2500.

I've always liked the SRXs but for the type of riding I do (groomed trails, ditches,
lakes, etc. in Northern MN) I've been told the SXR is a better fit. Does anyone
have any opinions on pros or cons of either sled?

Thanks in advance!

the sxr has a better suspension for the bumps and the motor can be made to run with the srx with a few bender parts .the sxr also seems to be as reliable as a hammer (read as very reliable ) and given the choice of the two I would get the sxr .had you not mentiond ditches in your post I might have said srx

Personally I would not even consider owning an SRX, but an SXr? I've always dreamed of having one. Fantastic sleds.
