well i have the day off ,and i decided to take my sled out of the shed and start it up and move it into my garage to start my pre season cleanup.

i cant get it to fire up :cussing: i,m getting spark, checked kill switch, put in new plugs.

the pull start side plug is getting soaked with fuel, and the clutch side is getting little fuel. i,ve taken out plugs cleaned them with air and also blew out cyliders about 15 times. :bash: and it will not fire at all. I EVEN TRYED EITHER A FEW TIMES.

any other idea,s.?i just need to get it started to move into my garage, i have to get it across my backyard on the grass cant drag it myself :(

its an 02mxz800. man i wish i had electric start  my and and back are killing me from pulling this thing over

I've been using gas stabilizer for the past few years with great success. It took 3 pulls from sitting since March to fire up my '05 600HO SDI, but of course that's different since it's fuel injected.

If you've got compression, fuel, and spark, it has to go...

Pull the plugs, drop a litte gas right into cylinder. If there's good spark it should fire.

All I did to my sleds last spring was add stabil and run them awhile to get it into the carbs etc. Both sleds started fine and are now at the shop for a few minor repairs and pre season maint. Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.

Hey Zippar! Be sure you pull your carbs off and give them a good cleaning. It sounds like the choke circuit is pluged up. While you are at it, look at the reeds reel close and make sure they are ok too.........Happy Trails!

ONE FAST TIP=WHEN YOU HAVE FOWLED PLUGS AND YOUR IN YOUR SHOP=FIRE UP THE PROPANE TORCH AND BURN THEM OFF GOOD AND DRY.
IT WORKED FOR ME YESTERDAY WHEN I AWOKE THE BIG PANTERA FROM HER SUMMER SLEEP.BIG SMOKE FROM ALL THE OIL I PUT DOWN THE CYLINDERS LAST MARCH BUT EFFECTIVE NONE THE LESS.
THAT WITH A FULL TANK AND STABIL-God BLESS STABIL-WORKS EVERY TIME.

Good tip about warming the plugs. Remember sometimes when you can't get it started and the plugs look wet it could be just oil. Recommend you take the carb cleaning advice.

you know, heres an awesome fact for wet plugs.

remove the plug boot and set it on the plug, what happens is it sends an arch with twice the amount of spark.

reeds improve throttle response and a spacer moves the power band.....

I noticed better throttle response at the low and mid as well as the engine felt a little smoother throughout.
As far as helping getting the air box back in :cussing: Take loose the cowling that is around the steeering post. That helps a bunch. The fist time I tried to get it on, it took me over a 1/2 hour to GET-R-DONE!
:lmao: :hallo1:

Once you figure out the right angle of attack, it goes right in. You may have to take a long screw drive and help the boots of the air box back on to the carbs once in place (I distort the mag side about every time).

GOOD LUCK!~!
