1991 ski doo formula plus with mikuni 34 carbs.

I have purchased 2 new throttle cables from parts unlimited.

Both cables act the same way....like they are 1/4" too long.

In the picture where the cables are fully seated, the throttle is really loose and only pulls the slides half way....if the cables are pulled out about 1/4" as in the other picture...the throttle works fine and the slides open all the way.

I have adjusted the screw on top of the carb, and it does not help at all.

What the heck is going on????????????????????

Did you buy cables for the 38-40mm carbs by accident ?

Wouldn't suprise me if the cables were ordered wrong or packaged wrong, happens all the time.

I finally got fed up with parts unlimited and ordered a genuine set from skidoo.

I will see what that cable does...has anyone ever seen this problem?...meaning bad parts unlimited cables?

it happens way too often. i bought blue seal bearings and i know have have some of the cheap ones. :(
