Hey guys, i'm just looking for any good combinations of parts i can use to make my sled go faster. As it is right now ive got v-force 3 reeds, transfer rods, and a heelclicker clutch kit. I'm not sure if the clutch kit is weighted properly for my size. I'm about 235 lbs and i can clean my buddies rev 800 outta the hole but then come mid range and top end a rev 600 can beat me, just looking for any input on hot setups guys can use on SRX's without spending a huge amount of money on them
O and when i do race my buddies its not for 660' or anything its usually quarter mile if that helps at all, and i have a .725 lug truck with 144 studs in it

Is your clutch shifting all the way out.To check this I will mark a strait line in the primary and secondary on the clutch sheaves this will tell you if your sucking your belt all the way down in the secondary and how far up the belt is climbing in the primary. If its shifting all the way out then id try gearing it up.Is the sled pulling the correct rpms?To many rpms past the power curve will slow you down. There is alot to clutching, you want to load the motor to generate good pipe heat which makes more power, you dont want your clutches running to hot ,everyone wants a clean backshift and so on but ill never buy an aftermarket kit unless I had it clutched on a sled dyno.It seems clutch kits clean one area up but hurt another.Like i said clutch it on a dyno and you see where your gains are.

Sounds like the sled is geared down.
IMO throw out the Heelclicker Weights. They are good for holeshots, but they end up fighting you on shifting the sled out. That "Heel Clicker" extra hole for weight couter-acts the weight after about 1/2 shift. So, you have to add more tip weight to get it to shift out, which in turn kills the holeshot, so you add more weight to the "heel" and now it doesn't shift out again........ see where this is going? And this is assuming they live long enough and dont explode taking the primary clutch with it.
Look on Totallyamaha.com They have some good clutch setups for SRXs and other yamahas on their tech boards.

Hey, thanks for the input, greatly appreciated. So that being said if i get it clutched right meaning i find a good set up i like for lake/trail riding how would i find the right gearing for that clutch setup?? I'd prefer if anything to lose bottom end and have the top end because we usually race a fair distance not short

Tune em with NO weight in the heel, weight the mid and tip holes as needed, about as good as it gets.
