This winter on the last day of our trip I was thinking of taking a different route south from the Quality Inn. Head east on A107Q, then south on L187 to the lake. Follow the west shoreline to Haileybury & catch L182 to get back to TOP A.
Does anyone know if the lake is signed where L182 starts?

It was last time we took that trail Revrnd, but that was three years ago. They had a sign right on the lake If I remember correctly. The lake was also staked and marked.

Thanks Jeff. Ididn't want to have to run back up the river to get back to TOP A when we were heading for Temagami (heading north to go south).

How is the Wabi River out of New Liskeard or L. Temiscaming? Has it started to freeze up?

Wabi is being used regularly and the lake is starting to be used. with last night and tonight at -30 the lake should be good to go everywhere by the weekend i would think. main problem is that we only have 8+ inches of snow.

Way to go Kris!!!
Now look what you did.
Go to your room.
MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNnnnnnnnnnnnnn nnnnnnnnnnnnn
we need snow so bad.
Lets hope we get some accumulation this weekend.
There's about 1 to 2 feet of snow within an hour or 2 from here but all the trails are still marked closed.
Patience. Patience. Breathe deep. Count to 10.
