Well, Durk and I (well mostly just Keith) just finished with the beavertail delete on my sled. I think all in all it turned out pretty good.

It looks nice, deffinately looks better on the sled then in piecs in a box..... LOL

Friggin awesome! I like it way better than the other. Never really understood it but don't care either...this way you can have your chair with ya.. good idea...not near as good as that electric start was but you are getting there.... next...Reverse?

Well, keith and I tried the computer from his sled.....didnt work. But I might have to add the reverse pick up thingie. I also heard the wiring is differant. Good thought though

Shes almost done!! just have to put on the new track, put on the belly pan protector and get the back bolted back together. Im kind of stuck though. With the beaver tail delete I have 2 options. I can either put the plastic piece that goes under the seat(wrap) from the 03 or I can put both pieces from the 05. I kinda like not having the plastic over the tunnel and I think it would help with the whole chair issue. The pic that you see with the tail light at the end of the tunnel is not how it would be. The seat wrap will get replaced with the 05. I just had it on there for comparison.

So,
1. use 03 wrap with the tail light right up to the seat and exposed tunnel or,
2. Complete 05 rear with tail light out and tunnel covered?


A big thanks goes out to keith for use of the shop, his tools, helping with the hood, console and studding Chicky's sled. And another big thanks to Brian(MXZWFO) for applying all my stickers for me( I would have messed them up for sure).

Looking good fred :thumbsup: I like the white. As for the tail/chair set up , have you done any mock ups on how its going to sit?(im curious). Depending on the chair brackets ,fit ,clearance and function for you could determan which way to complete the tail. With the 03 seat your tailight is up out of the way but it might be another thing with the chair on to see it. But then on the 05 set up you will have the tailight to overcome for the chair and not hitting it in the process.

Im sure keith will whip up a custom IDOOSKI rack for you :wink: and the problem will be solved.
Give us some mock-up pics of the how you are thinking the chair might be fitted . We might be able to help you decide . Which way is the chair going to sit ? ,im thinking all opened up with the wheels on strattling the tunnel over the 05 taillight set up . But will there be enough clearance from the ground to the wheels though?
Maybe a LED light fitted to the rack might doo the trick :wink: .

I'm not a SKI-DOO owner, But I have to admit. You have a SWEET looking sled there. I like the white on your hood. I don't know to much about the Beaver tail thing, but what you did to the back end looks real good. Now we just need snow so you can ride {actually for all of us to ride}. :) Snow Prowler.

Hay fred what if you swaped skis with chicky and add yellow loops? There's your yellow to make the flow and all you need are loops. Put a splash of white on the trunk and the yellow wont stand out so much. It's funny how a little sticker or two will change the whole look of things.

Hay I noticed something in your pics.. your mfg sticker on your tunnel ,the small one is where the big mfg vin stick is supose to be ..where's the vin sticker ? are 03's differant ?

I want to load ours up too but im waiting to see if we get any snow to take them for a spin before we go. Bad thing here is we live in a park and it's so wet, they will have my a** if there's not enough snow and I start ripping sod.

ChickyDoo would kick our collective butts if we tried to swap skis. :D

The 03's are different. The VIN sticker is now under the plastic seat surround.
