We finally got snow yesterday, about 7 inches up here in northern Maine. Its not much but finally something to ride on. Hope everyone else got a little bit too.

We got a dusting up here but more importantly it's turned colder and the ground is starting to set up.

NO NO NO Cory is right, You want cold temps to freeze the ground so when the snow does come it does not turn into mush.....

ya we are way behind from last year , it's been just too warm. if it never kept warming up we would have over 2' of snow on the ground by now but it kept warming up and melting..... But we have had this before and just have too be paticent. It's getting colder and staying colder so it's gonna come....It did give me time too finish up all the work i did too my sled, so now it's finally ready, and now bring on the snow. (LOT'S!!!)

This year's lack of snow makes me regret not knowing the world of snowmobiling those 7 winters (9/1989 through 5/1996) I spent in Houghton, Michigan. :bash:

There was definitely snow then... I can still picture the beauty of it!

Ya Cory I know all about that 14"-16" 3 weeks ago, i was driving back from Barrie on friday december 1st. Just caught a Barrie colts game, then was heading too Sudbury too catch a wolves game before heading back too Timmins. That was some of the worst winter driving i've ever delt with!
Got home and all this snow on the ground, but i still didn't have my new track, and all of the other stuff i had planned for my sled. So i never got out. Once the work was complete the snow is all but gone!!!! but it's really cold now -23c And a storm brewing in the rockies forcasted too hit ontario on new years day.....so fingers and toes crossed!!!
