I'm going to do some friendly grass dragging next month
and was going to install slightly bigger idler wheels on my
sled to reduce friction. The sled is a 2001 MXZ 800 and stock
idler wheels are 135mm which is roughly 5.31 inches. I found some wheels
that were 5.6 OD inches with the 25 mm Inner Diameter. I went
to order and they are discontinued. Bummer.

Questions:

(1) What is the largest diameter wheel I can put on without
causing problems with running it on grass?

(2) Does anyone know where I can get 5.6 inch OD wheels
with 25 mm ID for my suspension?

(3) Anyone have any experience good or bad with making this mod?

I'm also planning on putting the 2 3/4 inch smaller wheels in the
middle of my suspension.

Thanks in advance.

I run idlers on my doo that are 1/4 bigger in diameter, their made by fast, same wheels they run on all their suspentions. It's a bolt on item, dont know about grass but they sure work in the snow.

Thanks for the info. I found some at Central Snowmobile that
were a little more than 1/4 inch bigger. They should work fine.
