Gas is what happens when you eat too much beans. Fuel is what makes your engine go....

Gas is also what comes out of your sled when the fuel is exploded.

:withstupid:

Gas, diesel is fuel.

Although I almost put diesel in my sled once. Wasn't paying attention at the gas/fuel pumps. Luckily my bald headed friend stopped me. His name is Jeff, and he might be reading this, so I thought I would throw in the bald thing.

I would say that the word fuel cover most kinds of stuff like gas, diesel, parrafine etc. Gas, thats only gas (benzine).

With all the talk about fuel being diesel. . .

I started wondering if Yamaha is going to come out with a diesel powered sled. Think of the advantages, it might not have to meet emission standards. It'd have great torque. Weight might not be an issue. Hmmm.

Ok, I'm with most.
Gas is short for Gasoline. So gas is gas
Fuel is everything else. Example. Diesel, Alchohol, or anyother form of go juice. I call it Gas. But then I call the other gas a fart. :p

I sometimes call is gas, I sometimes call it fuel, but mostly when talking about stopping for some, I usually say I am low on fuel.

Fuel = diesel, gas for everything else.

Where I live I call it a pain in the butt. Reformulated crap. 10% Ethenol or Methonal added to burn cleaner.

Burns hotter and if you leave it sit in the tank for awhile, it eats your carbs away. So I truck 25 miles to "the good gas" and fill the five gallon jugs. I have never put that reformulated stuff in any of my toys. (That last sentence could be a whole new thread!)

And why do five counties in SE WI have to sell that stuff. Not because we have a pollution problem. It's the south winds that blow the pollution up from you know where. (Not a rip on anyone from Chicago, just the facts)

In my line of work, fuel is anything that is consumed to create some form of energy. So I use both but for the most part I gas up my sled. :hallo2:

Dodge County, that's where I "road trip" to get the "good stuff." Hustisford! Taking the back roads past Holy Hill makes it a senic ride.

No emmision testing either, I didn't know that!

Well, there'd be no plugs to foul..That'd be nice. Hard to start a diesel in the cold, tho.
