I just mounted my F7 2004 engine with Kimpex Gaskets. I recently noticed that my cylinder looses oil and I think it's coming from the base gasket. Did somone already have a bad luck with this gasket and is it possible that it could be something else?

Always use OEM Gaskets!!!

Do you have the nuts torqued down correctly??

Had similar problems on my dirt bike with aftermarket gaskets, and fork seal. Just weren't as good of quality and were leaking again in no time, Bought some OE seals, and gaskets, and the leaks were gone. OEM's know what there doing, they built the machine after all

The bolts were torqued as in the manual. Is it possible it's something else than the gasket?

If your stock one is not damaged just re-use it, does the kimpex have a plastic coating on it? If so I had one leak antifreeze into cylinder causing damage.

I too have reused gaskets on many occasions. My factory service manual even talks about re-using gaskets and recommends a little gasket sealer, which I will even use on new gaskets. I've used RTV gasket sealer in the tube and aerosol gasket sealer, both with excellent results.
