thebestzr600 10-16-2002, 11:59 AM I am an Arctic Cat person, but i like SRX's
If you have one your are looking to get rid of for $2k or less tell me about it
!!!
dpaige 10-16-2002, 12:10 PM I don't think you are going to find too many SRX's for under 2 grand.
Just my $.2
thebestzr600 10-17-2002, 11:53 AM :0: Thanks. I didnt really know what they were worth b/c i dont follow yamaha. How long has yamaha made SRX's?
Mighty RX-1 10-17-2002, 07:03 PM 98 was the first year.
hauler 10-17-2002, 08:05 PM You may be able to find a zrt for under $2000 but not a srx. Ive got a 2000 srx for $2000 + $2200 if your interested, wich I dought you are , since you no nothing about them starting with what year they started making them.

If you're looking for one, take a look at Hauler's
It's a nice machine for what he is asking for it
02_mc_500 10-18-2002, 12:30 PM you would pay more than 2k for a snowmobile made in japan?? lol jk jk jk :p
thebestzr600 10-18-2002, 12:31 PM Even if I don't know a lot about SRX's I told you I'm not a Yamaha person. and my uncle's srx, after reclutching and milled heads has a whopping 2 foot lead after drag racing a 600' field over my stock 600 twin
Wat makes SRX's $2k better than a ZRT 600? 100cc's?
I'll stick with A-Cat.
:withstupid: :cussing: !!!
dpaige 10-18-2002, 01:17 PM Why would you ask if anyone was selling one if you dislike them so much??
I think you are comparing apple to oranges here
I don't think they are $2000 more expensive that a ZRT?
If you have a 2000 SRX and a 2000 ZRT 600 I believe they are going for similar prices.
I am pretty sure the SRX will beat the ZRT all day long in a drag race.
one of my buddies has a 2000 SRX and it RIPS!!! It is completely stock and I know 2 guys with 2000 ZRT's that can't touch it.
Your profile says you have a ZR 600, I don't think you are going to be even close to a 98 SRX with a 98 ZR 600, unless the SRX removes a spark plug!
I am sure you will tell me how wrong I am though!

todatop 10-19-2002, 01:20 AM easy boys.................first of all yammie made the srx 76 to early 80s then again 98 till last year..............they hold resale better than most sleds..its tough to find a cheap one!!
Sled Dogg 10-19-2002, 02:49 PM I've seen nice '98's for $3,500. Don't buy a 600 SRX as they are alot slower than the famed 700's. $4,000 will get you a bad to the bone 700 SRX, that'll blow by your zr 600 or a zrt 600 for that matter. They have great performance and incredible reliability.

thebestzr600 10-21-2002, 11:56 AM it could be that w/ his mods instead of improving it he slowed it down.
If they are as good as you say, I'm driving the wrong brand of snowmobile. :(
fortress 10-22-2002, 09:51 AM i can say that the SRX is more expensive than other sled... Before buying my 98 SRX last year,, i saw that the price for same Class cylinder and year was 3000 to 3500 for other brand and not under 4000 for the SRX
Canadian price.... YOU WONT be dissapointed with your SRX. Its the best in its class... I dont want another sled than this thing,, what a great feelling it give to me.. Dont have the same feel on another sled.... I dont think you can go as fast as 120 mph with your CAT 600
Vmaxrida 10-22-2002, 11:30 AM My dad just got a 2001 srx and it has alot of power, he kept up with our friends 800 ski-doo (haha it's a ski-doo how hard could it be?) at grass drags a couple of weeks ago. His srx is stock right now, well it has studs but other than that stock. The 800 is heavily modified and he was keepin right up with him. Theres another race this weekend and my dad is aligning his motor and clutches so he should be able to beat some 800's. The SRX will chew a lot of sleds up. They own the 700 class and do well in the 800. As for under $2000, you prolly wont find one that cheap, like sled dogg said you could prolly fin a 98 or 99 for 3500,good luck!
02_mc_500 10-22-2002, 12:00 PM i think he could do 120 mph i did 110mph with my mc! ;)
dpaige 10-22-2002, 12:12 PM That's pretty fast for a MC 500,
Is that on the AC speedo or on GPS??

That must be speedo speed, it's hardly ever accurate.

That's what I figured.
I know a ZRT 600 with do that but not a MC 500 with a 136.
Unless it's being pulled by a T-Cat!
fortress 10-22-2002, 02:06 PM ZRT 600 120mph ??? Let me laugh......
