My Low Oil and High Temp lights on my 05 King Cat don't come on at startup like they did on my old 580, I know the lights work, I tested the operation of both lights already, was wondering where I should check now? :withstupid:

I've never had a machine that did a "light check" at start-up. I normally keep the oil well up so don't worry about that - though I do every once in a great while run it down to make sure the senser and light works. A temp gauge is a sure-fire way around the overheat light indicator.

They used to do that, Arctic Cat dropped that, 1997 was the last year.

AC's accessory catalog used to list something called a Positor (sp?) which could be installed in-line to the idiot lights and would light them for several seconds at start-up.
You might check with your AC dealer if interested. If I recall correctly they were reasonably inexpensive.

Like Muskoka800 said, they used a device called positor in the wiring harness to light the idiot lights at start up. To me it only makes sense to have that. What good are warning (idiot) lights if they are burnt out? How would you know if the only time they light is when there is a problem?
