Just fishing around for some input on what other people are running in their Mach Z's.
Mine is a 2000 and it came with BR9EYA's in it (when I bought it used) but they looked like they were 2 days older than Moses so I chucked them and put BR9ES solid tips in (thinking I knew better).
Now I've heard a couple of different opinions on what plugs to run in my sled from a narrow group of people so I thought I would put it out there.
Anyone?

P.S. The reason I ask is I have fouled quite a few BR9ES plugs, especially if the temps go up a bit. I never had any riding time on the BR9EYA's that it came with so I don't know how they run.

I don't have a Mach but a Summit X that is supposed to take the BR9ES as well. Last year the dealer told me I should switch to the BR9EYA. They were about double the price last year but this year are about the same. Both plug models have performed well for me.

On the NGK parts finder i was looking up the plugs on a Arctic Cat which called for the BR9EYA but for an premium plug it said BR9EIX which is just the iridium plug. I imagine your fouling is just because the temps are rising, making the jetting rich. The heat range of the plug is the number 9. They are the same heat range so the differences shouldn't cause fouling? I might be wrong. Please correct me if i am.

I run the EYA's, no problems :) I find though that if I try to take off too quickly after starting the engine, I'll foul a plug, if I let it run for a minute or so I've had no problems. It''s weird, cause my 2 780 Machs were the opposite, they didn't like idling.

I have two Mach 1's one is a 92 617 the other is a 97 700 triple. The 97 came used with BR9EYA's, they still look new. My 92 would foul a plug or 2 every ride, it now has the BR9EYA's, no more fouling. They are the answer. As for price, who cares??? one $4 BR9EYA or five $2 BR9ES, exactly where is the savings running cheaper plugs??

The EYA's have a little longer tip so it fires closer to the piston which is not a real good thing.
I have run them with no problems but not really any problems with the ES either.
I used to foul if I idled to long but since I installed a Tempaflow 3 years ago I just changed the plugs this season for giggles. Plug tips were actually worn from 4500 miles of usage not fouling.
Your solid tops are an excellent choice, I would just stick with them and drop a Tempaflow on it, you'll be a happy camper all around.
