I am trying to install an electric start system in my 95 Arctic Cat EXT, I need to remove the drive and and I have the cap assembly removed and now I need to remove the Spider assembly. I need to know if the threads on the spider assembly are left hand or right hand and if someone knows where I can get more complete directions to installing this Electric start system.

Thanks

You don't need to take apart the clutch....

What you needed to do assuming that you have the Artco/comet clutch, was remove the allen cap ( #19- http://www.brownsleisureworld.com/frame.cg...orld.com/Parts/ (http://www.brownsleisureworld.com/frame.cgi?url=http%3A//www.brownsleisureworld.com/Parts/) ) , remove the clutch bolt (1/2" 12 point socket) ( number 20- http://www.brownsleisureworld.com/frame.cg...orld.com/Parts/ (http://www.brownsleisureworld.com/frame.cgi?url=http%3A//www.brownsleisureworld.com/Parts/) ) and then get a clutch puller (probally around $20) and get the clutch off. The ring gear will mount on the back of the stationary sheave.

Make sure you grease the threads and the tip of the puller before you use it...

Check out the parts break downs....

Thanks, I was wondering if the face plate was the piece that I took off with the Allen head or is it the plate that is closest to the engine and where do I find the timing marks?

Thanks, I went my Arctic Cat shop and they explained about only having to remove the allen cap and then removing the clutch with the clutch puller which I bought so I am gonna try removing this clutch tonight.
