I know we all have the standbys like Arcic Crap, Poo, Doo, well you get the idea. I've come up with one (I think its original) for the two upper touring sleds, "crew cabs". Waddya got?

we had an old 1971 nordic 400 that we used to call the spine bracker :hallo4: , and a 1976 olympic 340 was called the ditch mobile :hallo3:

my buddies called my ZL the "lumber wagon" because it was alot heavier than their selds.

for the older sleds like tnt`s i call them gingle bells ....lol....cause the way the sound when there running.... and for my machz i call it the mach chicken :p

In colledge I had no money for a sled so I got an old 68 olympic and istalled a 340 arctic cat jag motor in it . Widening plates for the front end and she did 55 mph in the trails. My friends christened it the bouncing bubble gum machine. That was 15 years ago and my buddies still talk about it . :hallo3:

My buddies call my little old Cheetah the Arctic Tractor,screw them what do they know :p

My friend always manages to find stumps when riding so I have dubed him and his sled " THE GREAT WHITE STUMP HUMPER " :hallo9:

What about "Plastic Cat" for thoose who ever dubted on the quality of Arctic.

My 1990 Arctic Cat wildcat mountain cat is called Murphy's law, what could go wrong did go wrong.
My 1998 mach z 1050 was called Thumper, just beacuse.
My 1999 Grand Touring SE was called the Coupe Deville

I have always called yellow MXZeds :D , Banana peels.

Mostly just the POS at the moment. :( Methinks my machine's gonna be beyond hope.

We called our old zr the "slimer", but only when it worked and "P.O.S." when it didn't, which was most of the time. lol. The zrt 800 is either called the "phat pig" or the "zert".
I haven't got a name for the cougar yet and probally never will except for "for sale".

Guys....nicknames...lets not get into bashing names, even if it is funny. If it continues and we get one complaint, this topic is toasted. :sly:

I used to have a 95 XLT, but crashed it. Took the insurance $$ and started parting it out on ebay. Last year the wife, (fiancee at the time) started espressing interest in snowmobiling, so I started looking for a CHEAP way to get her into a sled... one day while selling XLT knickknacks, I came across an XLT triple piped with a blown motor (suprise, suprise!). Also had a cracked chaincase, and a couple of other problems... the price was right, $500. Well I took it and combined it with some other parts that I had in stock.... engine, skidframe.... and a bunch of other misc parts, and now have a sled that is mechanically tip-top, but had some cosmetic issues. but, for a total investment of $580, I consider it a deal.

It has two nicknames...

Junkyard Dog,
Sanford and Son.

We used to call the longtracks COUCHES

Friends call everyone elses sleds [slugs :withstupid:

I call my Mach Z a bottle baby, everytime I pass a gas station I kneed to feed her

Grand Touring= GT5 GT6 GT7 and the Grand Daddy GT8

Had Yamaha SS440 in 83' my buds called the tree climber, which I didn't understand because it didn't actually climb the tree. It just happened to be 15ft. in the air when it HIT the tree. :nervous:

Also, my buds are already calling my RX-1.......The RX1ton. (I just don't understand my buds sometimes). :sarcasm:

My old V max had the pogo front susp. which my friends felt it appropriate to call it "Pogo" and for the phazer they call it "little one" ;)

My friends call mine SKI-Don't..

My 95 xcr was frankenstein,cause it was pretty scruffy,cracked hood,stickers gone,probly cause I rolled it a few times, :( ,but how areya gonna be a better rider if you dont have a little crash now and then to compare it to :D my new sled is grumpy's toy 01 700 xcsp :sly: SWRules

Call mine a cold weather #####, hard pulling when really cold. With this arm may have to get elec. start for it.

My ride is a 99' ski doo formula z..it's all purple and the boys call it Barney then my buddy ende up witha ZR 600 all green..hello baby bop! We ride with a guy that loves the Yamahahahahahah's.

My sled has the name Frankenstein. I rolled it 4 or 5 times the first year I had it. The hood had some large cracks and breaks in it, so I drilled holes along both sides of the cracks and then zip tied them together. Holds together great and if a tie or two breaks, just put another one through the holes. Looks just like the stitches on Frankenstein himself.

i have a 88 safari citation 253 we named the "popcorn machine" because that little one lunger looks like an air popper! that machine has taken more abuse and still keeps on truckin......
