Hello all, i have a tech question for someone, shouldn,t be too hard and prob been asked somewhere before.Bought my son a 2000 XC-120 for this winter,he graduated from 3 years of riding the Kitty Kat to this.Prob is, this sled while having much better looks and suspension,is slower then the 60cc stock kitty.
I played around today a bit with the Governer on it,which is very light spring. When the sled is full throttle(5mpg)the governer spring doesn,t even move.If you reach down and open it even halfway, it finally comes to life. After frigging for an hour with the spring, tryin to get it to open, yet still idle,i gave up on it.I'm sure someone must make a small adjustable rod or cable which will take the springy out of the setup, allowing it to open as the throttle is pushed.
Someone somewhere is racing this little machine on a track and goin more then 5mph i'm sure.If not there getting laughed off the track.
Any input is welcome, BTW my kid is almost 8, not like i'm riggin a death trap up for a 4 year old.And its his second sled, but he now wants the kitty back cuz its faster,lol..
