: Sweeettttt!
Wolfman 10-17-2002, 05:11 PM Well, I didn't think I was gonna be sticking around after work today. Low and behold, there was an altercation between one of the employees, and one of the administrators. That person was going to leave, and I took their spot. Then they settled down, and I thought I was going to leave again. Well, the bossman had me pull up an extra position to cut back on the overall alarm load for my area!!!! Tonite, we are makin' DOUBLE TIME!!!! Woohoo!!!!  :hallo2: :hallo3:
ZR Sled Head 10-17-2002, 05:57 PM I didn't understand much of your post, but the outcome is a good thing right? :)
paul yarek 10-17-2002, 06:05 PM ah wolfy you're twice as good as any man so you should be up to 4 times the normal wage. ;)

Well, I'm still not sure if *I* understand what went on at shift change today. ??? At any rate, yup, the outcome was good for me! I'm hoping to pull this off two more times. <<keeping fingers crossed>>
It'll set me a good bit ahead of schedule on my payoff goals, and hopefully open up the ability to go riding this winter.

I figured you were. This was still one of the wierdest "shift changes" that I've been through. :0:
What happened this afternoon still isn't over. I'm going to have to sit down and write what I saw and heard transpire as I was directly watching the vast majority of it.
Team_Arctic 10-17-2002, 10:28 PM jeez wolfy you are bringin home the bacon with extra fat! way to go

Well that makes me feel better Rottie.
I don't get paid for my overtime, but neither does the gov't
:D
z800rotax 10-18-2002, 11:12 AM Just don't over do it wolfman cause remember you work to live not
live to work :D
Wolfman 10-18-2002, 03:02 PM I'm definitely not gonna be crazy. Right now I feel as if I am living to work, and want to change this.
Hehe, Rottie. I'm getting anxious for the holiday season. We get paid double and a half. I'm going to set up my schedule to have those days off, so I can volunteer to work them, and get automatic OT on the upcoming Saturdays. That'll make for a couple more awesome chex. Word is out here that OT is going to be increasing with the latest batch of layoffs that are up and coming. I'm going to survive this one easily (only taking 7 out of here), so I'm gonna snatch what I can, and get outta debt. Then if I do get axed, I can relocate without stress. If not, I found a nice 10 acre plot of vacant land in West Yellowstone, and I'm going to try to get my father to snatch it up and then buy it from him when I'm ready to get outta here on my own. :hallo1:
Steven Hohman 10-18-2002, 04:36 PM Hey, wolfy, good thinking, double-time huh? Well you'll have your new sled in no time, and then you can buy something to race me with!
Wolfman 10-18-2002, 05:00 PM It keeps getting better. I snagged another one. One more of these, and I'll make my goal for this week. Then a four week break from OT while I'm back on eveniings and carpooling to work. It'll give me time to get back into the average for OT. Right now, I'm square on the bottom of the list for people to ask for OT now. :0:
After that schedule, back on days, and grabbing everthing I can get!!
FishHog 10-18-2002, 06:07 PM You have to respect a man who's determined.
You go buddy, just don't burn yourself out.
Steven Hohman 10-19-2002, 02:10 AM How could he get burnt out of talking with us? That's pretty much all he does when it's slow! That's the life......now if I can only find something to do while riding the sled ???
Wolfman 10-19-2002, 08:28 AM Hehehe, I've been "burned out" so to speak with this job for quite while now. I'm only here for the paycheck. Getting the net at work has made the job MUCH more bearable. :D The day goes by pretty quickly now most of the time.
Still, when I get into these kinds of stints, I tend to get motivated to work since I'm getting extra pay. I'd never make it as a manager. I'd severely resent the concept of working extra with nothing to show for it at the end of the payperiod.
