What are the symtoms of a weak/bad stator.My 99 mach z wont pull max rpm and the plug colors are all over the place.One day their black and rich,then i check them again and ones black,ones bone white and the other is tan.Things ive tried:new fuel pump,cleaned carbs,cleaned raves,cleaned clutches,new clutch springs,new drive belt,3 sets of new plugs,new reeds,aligned clutches and checked center to center,compression check(143,145,148)leak down test.What now??

When my stator went on my 96 Mach-z , I would see my RPM gage just drop to 0 and start to bounce around , not long after that it was done ! Good luck

My tach doesnt drop to zero but it doesnt seem to idle to smooth.When its warming up the center and mag side pipe get warm but the pto side is cool.It kinda sounds like one cylinder (pto) is misfiring at idle.

my stator went out on myh 99 mxz ho. when it went out i couldnt start the sled at all. it was fine up to that point though. ski doo dealer charged me 350 to install a new one.
