Have a 02 T-cat and I was out for a ride on Sunday, everything went well until the last 15 miles home when the fuel gauge went to empty and stayed there. I have checked for loose wires and such on the dash pod with no issues found. Do you have to remove the air box to access the wiring to the sending unit on the tank? The unit has an electric gauge.
Thanks

Yes typically that is were most of that stuff is; not a real fun job.

I found the problem. the suction tube in the tank flipped over onto the float arm taking it to the bottom of the tank. I new the trail I was on was rough, but not that rough. Used a wire to flip the tube back off of the float and the gauge works fine.
