Hi I took my 500 efi for a ride the other day. I have not used it for about 3 years. The sled was running fine went about 10 miles and I lost power. Thought it was a bad plug shut the sled off., and put a new plug in and away I went. It ran good for about five miles then it did. it again. I shut the sled off and the started it right a way and it took off like nothing was wrong. What could be causing the loss of power. Could it be the fuel filter plugging up. Any other suggestion? . THe sled idles good when i loose the power but it boggs when I press on the throttle to acelerate. Hope some one can help me out

Probably i would also deffenetly change the fuel if your using the fuel thats been sitting for 3 years and change the filter.

I have the same kind of problem and I did change my filters.

1989 Indy 500 Classic
1992 Indy 500 SP EFI

I would say with the sled being a 92 i would change the fuel lines and filter its a good start.
