I have an 03 pro x 600 and have too much unloaded sag. I blew the rear track shock earlier this winter, and limped home about 15 miles. I bought a new Ryde FX shock and put on the sled but now have about four inches of unloaded sag. Everything has been greased and works freely. Is there a possibility that I damaged the torsion springs? This is my first Polaris, and I loved it before the trouble, but this is killing me!! Help....

get new spring, with the blown shock that 15 miles is more like 5000 miles. id recommend buying 06 IQ 440 springs, .375 are the best. the IQ springs last longer then the prox one. here is the site for part numbers.

Thanks, and your right, it did feel like 5000 miles. Maybe I'll give that a try. Any other thoughts on this?

If all you changed was the shock, I have to wonder if you purchased the correct one?

Yes,I got the ryde fx shock from my dealer. It is exactly what came off the sled. The dealer suggested buying new instead of rebuilding. He said from the looks of the damage, it would probably cost less to replace than repair. The end of the external reservior blown out and egg shaped the reservior body itself.

im switching to all IQ spring this next year too. the springs are just so much better then the pro one. the shock should not be the problem but after this season make sure to ge them all rebuild and valvued the same just for your weight and riding style. fettborther is the best i know.
