I have a 94 indy 500 and the suspension on it is too low. With the amount of snow we have its too hard on the machine to be dragging the running boards. So is there any way i can raise it up? thanks

this is a very good question. i to am searching for an answer on this.my wife has a 93 indy trail 500,and mine is a 93 indy xlt special 580.i have asked many people and can't seem to get an answer.it would be nice to raise it up at least 4 to 6 inches.you can set it harder which does raise it a little, but the problem is it rides way to hard and stiff.the newer sleds are up nice and high and they look to give a ride like you are sitting on the couch.thats what i want lol.there must be a mod out there somewhere to accomplish this in the older indys.

how about swapping in a newer skid.like a xtra 12 or a edge even.i know of someone who has a xtra 10 for sale cause he put a edge in his gen 2.

this can be done but is a little more complicated tehn you think. on a pre xtra indy you should not but anything over and xtra 10 on the back. the back end would sit way to high if you put on and edge. as for raising the existing suspension you can do that. if you take tthe skid out on the front plats there are two hole lower then where your skid is mounted to now. you have to drill these out. after that you need to make or buy some hanger brackts for the rear. you will have to rivit these in and make sure they are lined up and even. here is a few picks to help.
