Snif..Snif... :( , Ok it's not too bad ,but enough to hurt our pride. Today things were biz as normal and snow4 happen to bee at the wrong place at the wrong time. But then agian someone else should of had their brain ingaged of what they were doing :cussing: .

No ..the sleds are ok but our tow rig has suffered a owie. Snow4 was at the bank today and this bimbo in a jeep wagoner pulls up to a ATM. At the same time snow4 was coming around to get in line and this chick found out the ATM is out of order. So she just backs up to move over to the other one and BAM she smacks the truck in the wing door on the passenger side as snow4 is turning up into the line.

To top it all off this chick TAKES OFF :dazed: . Snow4 called me and I beat the law there and snaped some pics. About 45mins to a hour after the event the hubby shows up at the scene(w/no girl) saying his wife panic and blah, blah :whatever: . BY this time the officer went into the bank and veiwed the whole thing on tape. She end-up getting a ticket for leaving and im sure my ins co will going after her too .

We went and had a estimate at 2 places and it comes out around 2 grand to fix + loner. Tomarrow im going to the dealer for a estimate. Downtime for the repairs so far will be 3-4 days. Basiclly it needs a door skin, trim molding and step bar+ paint work. Lucky her hitch ball met the bar or it would of got into the rocker , front door , I think thats what saved us more damage to the body .

I know how your feeling! We were at Home depot and when we got back to our new Ram there was a buggy at the drivers door. I pulled the buggy away and there were two nice dents. $1000 to fix and a couple of weeks later the other half is at a bank machine sitting in the truck not even moving and Wham! Some young girl backed up into the front of the truck and her dad paid for the repairs. $1500

Beat wifey-pooh heard it from her husband when she got home, especially since he was the one that came back to the bank to fess up. Hopefully Snow4 is aok....I'm sure she was more mad at the time than shook up from the hit...cant believe the lady just left the scene.

atleast snow4 aint hurt. accidents happen, thats why they are called accidents. stupid as they are, atleast hubby showed back up. if that were chicago, nobody would have come back. definately take it to the dealer for the repairs, knowing that they will do a good job....

Yes, It is why they call it an accident, but DANG some accidents could really have been avoided.

Deb nailed it when she said I was Mad. I just sat in the truck in disbelief of what had just happend and then when she peeled out of the bank like she was in a drag race I instantly got Mad !
Where you see the truck in the above picture is exactly where she hit me as I did not move until the police arrived. She had been in that lane where the ATM machine is but backed up all the way into the truck. :crazy:
In michigan we do have a no-fault insurance law which will mean our insurance pays our costs and thier insurance will pay thier costs. Now that does not mean that our insurance co will not go after deductibles ect from thier insurance co.

What's kind of funny about the whole thing is, after the guy returned with the vehicle he made the Police Officer aware of the fact they live in the same park as we do.. :crazy: I guess I will be extra careful coming in and out of the park now. lol

In a few weeks this will all be over, the truck will be fixed, and I will feel better. For now we just have a big inconvience to deal with and a loner vehicle to boot !
